Darmian linked with Serie A return

Talksport understands that Matteo Darmian could be set for a return to Italy with Inter Milan eyeing a move for the defender.

The Manchester United has barely featured so far this season, with his one and only appearance coming in last month’s Europa League defeat to Feyenord.

He was linked with a move to Serie A in the summer but remained at Old Trafford despite falling behind Antonio Valencia in the pecking order.

Darmian, who began his career with AC Milan made thirty-nine appearances in all competitions for the Red Devils last season, with his one and only goal for the club so far coming in a 2-0 win over Crystal Palace back in April.

Internationally he has been capped twenty-six times for Italy, scoring once and was part of their squads for both the 2014 World Cup finals in Brazil and this summer’s European Championships in France.
