According to a recent report from Sky Italia, Parma have come to an agreement with Premier League side Manchester United over the signing of Matteo Darmian. The defender will be signing on a two year contract with the potential option for a third if all goes well, and the transfer fee is said to be around £1.36 million. Some would suggest that is a bit of a bargain for Parma, and while that may be true in essence, Darmian’s stock has certainly dropped over the course of the last few years.
He started off his tenure with United with a lot of promise and potential, but as time as gone on that has worn away in correlation with United’s gradual decline.
Heading back to Italy once again will serve as a great opportunity for him to get his career back on track in a big way, and it feels as if both parties are well aware of that fact.
