FIFA’s ethics committee will meet later this month to hear the bribery case against Mohamed bin Hammam, football’s govening body said Wednesday.

Bin Hammam faces allegations of corruption, some of them relating to Qatar winning the hosting rights for the 2022 World Cup, but denies any wrongdoing.

The former president of the Asian Football Confederation was a candidate for the FIFA presidency until being provisionally suspended on bribery charges in May.

The cases against Debbie Minguell and Jason Sylvester from the Caribbean Football Union will also be heard during the July 22 meeting.

“The three officials have received the report on the investigations conducted by the ethics committee since May 29, and have been invited to present their position in writing prior to the meeting,” FIFA said in a statement.

Allegations against the former head of the CFU and FIFA vice-president Jack Warner were dropped after he resigned from football-related activies.
