Back in 1998, England were beaten in the round of 16 on penalties by Argentina at the World Cup in France after four first-half goals saw the game end in a 2-2 draw.

Only two minutes into the second half, Manchester United star David Beckham was sent off, and it was undoubtedly one of the most difficult moments in his career.
