David De Gea to pledge future to Man Utd

The Independent is reporting that Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea will soon sign a new contract at Old Trafford.

Encouraged by the impressive start to the new season, the Spaniard no longer has desire to join Real Madrid, and the club chiefs now plan to take advantage of the situation.

Namely, even though the goalkeeper has another two years left on his deal at Old Trafford, Manchester United want the 26-year-old to extend his deal with the club.

David De Gea has been in excellent form ever since he joined the Red Devils from Atletico Madrid, making 206 Premier League appearances.

He also managed to establish himself as the number one keeper in the Spain national team and featured in each of the eight 2018 World Cup qualifiers.
