David Luiz to get new Chelsea deal?

According to reports in England, David Luiz could be on the verge of being offered a new deal with Chelsea. The Brazilian’s deal is set to expire in the summer but the Blues are interested in handing him an extension, courtesy of his resurgence under new manager Maurizio Sarri. Luiz rarely featured into Antonio Conte’s plans during his time at Stamford Bridge, but his career has been turned on its head by the arrival of Sarri earlier this summer.

Luiz is playing the kind of football that first put him on the map, and he seems to have an improved attitude to go alongside that. Chelsea are thriving towards the top of the Premier League table and are showing no signs of slowing down, and while there are several reasons for that, fans shouldn’t sleep on Luiz’s talents because he truly is becoming the kind of world class defender that most pundits knew he could be.
