Any move by David Trezeguet from Juventus to FC Barcelona has been quashed by the Italian club.

The French striker has been the centre of many transfer rumours over the past few years.

Club Director Jean Claude Blanc has told the Italian media that the striker would not be released.

Trezeguet was one of the few high – profile stars who opted to stay at the club after their ignominious drop from Serie A to Serie B in 2006.

In the eight years that he has been at the club the thirty year old striker has scored 160 goals in 270 matches.
