Star-studded line-ups gathered on Wednesday at the National Stadium in Sofia for a charitable match between Luis Figo’s All Stars and Dimitar Berbatov’s Manchester United legends.
The likes of Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Gary Neville, Nemanja Vidic, Patrice Evra, Rio Ferdinand and Edwin van der Sar were joined by David James, Robbie Keane, Hristo Stoichkov, Krasimir Balakov, Stiliyan Petrov and Martin Petrov.
On the other side, Luis Figo opted for names such as Roberto Carlos, Robert Pires, Deco, David Trezeguet, Christian Karembeu, Dwight Yorke, Michel Salgado, Maxwell and Jari Litmanen.
It was a joyous occasion as some of world’s greatest stars went head-to-head. Profits from the match have gone to two children’s charities chosen by Berbatov and Figo.
The result of the game is secondary, but this match produced some memorable moments such was the goal by David Trezeguet.
