Sky Sports understands that Southampton midfielder Steven Davis has put pen to paper on a contract extension, committing him to the south coast club until 2018.
The 29 year old has been with the Saints since he signed from Rangers in 2012, racking up seventy-nine appearances in all competitions, scoring six goals.
He began his career with Aston Villa, where he played over a hundred times while he also spent time with Fulham before heading north of the border.
Internationally, he has sixty-nine caps for Northern Ireland, a tally which includes every minute of their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign thus far, where he has helped Michael O’Neil’s men to three wins from three games.
Southampton are currently third in the Premier League after an impressive start under Ronald Koeman, which has seen them take thirteen points from twenty-one.
They host Sunderland tomorrow afternoon, and are priced at 4/7 for the win.
