Derby County have completed the signing of midfielder Simon Dawkins from Tottenham Hotspur on a permanent deal, Sky Sports understands.
The 26 year old has signed a two-and-a-half year contract, after enjoying a successful loan period where he scored three goals in thirteen appearances, just two of which have ended in defeat.
Dawkins spend his youth career with Spurs, but never made a senior appearance for the club, with all of his game time coming in loan spells with Leyton Orient, San Jose Earthquakes, Aston Villa and lastly the Rams, who have also announced the extension of the loan spells of Michael Keane from Manchester United and Zak Whitbread from Leicester City.
They will also complete a loan deal for Chelsea striker Patrick Bamford, who has enjoyed a successful first half of the season with MK Dons.
Derby face Chelsea in the third round of the FA Cup at the iPro Stadium on Sunday afternoon and are priced at 15/2 for the win.
