Dawson set for Hull stay

The Mail Online understands that Michael Dawson is ready to commit his future to Hull City, despite their relegation to the Championship.

The centre-back moved to the KC Stadium last summer, and played for them twenty-seven times last season, scoring his one and only goal in last month’s 1-0 win over Liverpool.

However, after taking just one point from the twelve available since that victory over Brendan Rodgers side they eventually succumbed to relegation along with Burnley and Queens Park Rangers.

A whole host of their big name players are expected to move on ahead the Championship kick off on August 8th, though Dawson is keen to honour the three year contract he penned with the Tigers last summer.

Prior to his move to Humberside, Dawson spent nine-and-a-half seasons with Tottenham Hotspur, where he was part of the squad that won the League Cup in 2008 while he has four caps to England.
