The Telegraph is reporting that Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne is set to pledge his future to the club.
The Belgian has been a key performer in Man City’s remarkable start to the new Premier League campaign, contributing 6 goals and 8 assists in first 18 fixtures.
This has seen some of the top European clubs such as Real Madrid and Barcelona express their interest in his services, prompting the Citizens to act.
Namely, in an attempt to ward off interest from abroad, Man City will offer De Bruyne a new contract until June 2023, which will see his current salary almost doubled.
According to reports, the 26-year-old will be earning around €12 million per campaign if he agrees to a new deal.
