Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea has reportedly agreed personal terms with Real Madrid, according to Marca.
The Spanish shot-stopper was always going to be Real Madrid’s number one target to replace Iker Casillas and it appears los Blancos are ever so close to wrapping up the transfer.
Marca has suggested that David De Gea has agreed a long-term contract with the Spanish giants in principle, but los Merengues have yet to reach an agreement with Manchester United.
But, with the highly rated footballer refusing to sign an extension to his current contract that is due to expire in a year’s time, it appears they will have no choice but to sell in the summer.
Following a slow start to his career at Old Trafford, De Gea has developed into one of club’s most important players and he has been in stunning form this season.
However, everything suggests he will be returning to Spain at the end of the current campaign, with the Red Devils starting the search for his successor.
