David De Gea has just signed a new deal with Manchester United, but new stories around the Devils’ goalkeepers are surfacing. According to the Express, the Spaniard’s new contract with the club could mean that Dean Henderson and Sergio Romero will leave Man United for good once this season ends.
Sergio Romero has been the number two goalkeeper at Man United for quite some time now and whilst De Gea rumours were active, he was possibly hoping that his time would come once he left the club. But now De Gea is staying at Old Trafford for many years and Romero might feel the need to leave now.
With Dean Henderson, the situation could be a similar one. Whilst he is still a young goalkeeper who has never been near Man United’s number one jersey, he is definitely a talented goalkeeper and staying at Man United as a number two would harm him. He is currently on loan at Sheffield United, but it is not a stretch to imply that he might want to actually leave Man United once the current season ends.
