De Gea set for new Manchester United contract

The Mail Online understands that David De Gea is on the verge of signing a new lucrative deal at Manchester United.

The Spain international has continuously been linked with a return to his home country in recent years with Real Madrid keen on securing his services.

However he could now put pen to paper on a new deal ahead of this summer’s World Cup finals in Russia where he is set to be first choice for manager Julen Lopetegui.

Since signing from United from Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2011 and has since racked up three hundred and seven appearances for the club in all competitions.

He has winners medals in the Premier League, EFL Cup, FA Cup and Europa League and has been named in the PFA Team of the Year on four occasions while he has been capped a total of twenty-seven times by his country.
