David De Gea is set to sign a new £200,000-per-week deal with Manchester United, according to the Mirror.
For yet another transfer window the Spain international’s future was in question though he looks set to remain at Old Trafford, not least after long term admirers Real Madrid secured the services of Thibaut Courtois.
With the transfer record for a goalkeeper being broken twice this summer, De Gea’s valuation has shot up though his manager has declined to but a figure on his head.
The twenty-seven-year-old moved to Manchester United from Atletico Madrid in 2011 and has since racked up three hundred and seventeen appearances in all competitions while he has won the Premier League, the EFL Cup, FA Cup and Europa League.
He has been capped thirty-three times for his country and was their number one for this summer’s World Cup in Russia and the European Championships in France two years ago.
