David De Gea is on the verge of signing a new, four year deal with Premier League champions Manchester United, the Metro understands.
After an uncertain start to life at Old Trafford, the Spanish shot stopper has firmly established himself as first choice having played every minute in both the Premier League and Champions League so far this season.
The new deal is set to be worth around £90k per week, and will keep the 23 year old at the club until the summer of 2018.
United manager David Moyes is keen to tie down De Gea for the foreseeable future, following Nemanja Vidic’s announcement that he is to leave the club, and others such as Rio Ferdinand and Patrice Evra also linked with moves away.
United host bottom of the table Fulham tomorrow afternoon, and can be backed at a price of 5/6 to win the match without conceding.
