De Graafschap defeated NAC Breda 3-1 on Friday to record just their second victory of the Eredivisie season.
Hosts De Graafschap led from the 29th minute of the match at Stadion De Vijverberg thanks to a goal scored by defender Ted Van de Pavert.
Fullback Robbert Schilder equalised for the visitors in the 56th minute.
But they were on level terms for less than 60 seconds, as Finland international Jussi Kujala struck to restore the hosts’ one-goal advantage.
And with 14 minutes remaining, Ajax youth product Rydell Poepon found the back of the net to make it 3-1 and put the result beyond doubt.
De Graafschap’s second win in 10 matches this season lifts them to 15th, two points outside the relegation zone.
NAC are just one point and one place better off in 14th.
