Dutch midfielder Jonathan De Guzman is desperate to leave Napoli at the earliest opportunity, according to his official representative.
The former Swansea footballer was hoping to change clubs during the summer transfer window, and he was in talks with Marseille, Sunderland and Bournemouth.
However, De Guzman eventually remained at Stadio San Paolo as the transfer window closed and he is now looking for a way out.
The midfielder’s agent is well aware that his client is not in the first team plans of new coach Maurizio Sarri.
“Marseille was a good opportunity, but everything changed with the departure of Bielsa,” agent Fabio Parisi told Radio Kiss Kiss.
“He is in a very difficult situation at Napoli, the coach does not even consider him (for selection). I do not know if he will stay.”
Jonathan De Guzman, 27, made a name for himself at Feyenoord, before also enjoying successful spells with Mallorca, Villarreal and Swansea.
However, the midfielder has struggled for playing time since leaving the Premier League side for Napoli, although he did well to score 3 goals in 12 Serie A starts, while making another 11 substitute appearances.
