Deportivo La Coruna ace Julian de Guzman insists that he is not interested in leaving the Spanish side in January.

The Canadian’s contract with the club expires at the end of the season and he is hopeful of signing a extension to it.

“I know that I can sign for another club in six weeks, but my agent knows that I want to stay with Deportivo and I hope that in January or February there will be a solution,” he said in Spanish daily Marca.

“Two or three months ago the club gave their word that everything would be agreed and I have confidence that it is still the case.

“There are teams asking about me, but that does not bother me. I want to stay where I am.”
