De Guzman, Zuniga near Napoli exit

Jonathan De Guzman and Camilo Zuniga are among players expected to leave Napoli in the January transfer window, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.

The Azzurri plan to get rid of some dead weight in the upcoming transfer window, and make way for one or two new signings.

Brazilian defender Henrique is almost certain to return home as he is in talks with Fluminense, while Flamengo and Gremio are in the mix as well.

Meanwhile, Jonathan De Guzman and Camilo Zuniga both have admirers in Italy and England, and it is just the matter of choosing the right club after a disappointing spell at Stadio San Paolo.

The Dutch midfielder has failed to make a single appearance for the Azzurri this season, while amassing 23 league outings since joining from Villarreal in August 2014.

His teammate Camilo Zuniga has been in virtually the same situation, having fallen from grace after he had been one of Napoli’s key men for several years in a row.
