Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has moved to deny speculations linking coach Walter Mazzarri with Juventus.
The talented manager is reportedly being lined up by Juventus to replace Luigi Del Neri at the end of the season, but Laurentiis rules out such a possibility.
“Mazzarri is my coach and he is tied to us for another three and a half years,” De Laurentiis said. “If Juventus want him, they can have him in 2016.
“A coach who isn’t on the market, isn’t on the market. I already wanted him a year and a half before his appointment. I was delayed and now I will keep him.”
De Laurentiis doesn’t believe his side are ready to win the Serie A title at the moment.
“We are doing well, but we are not ready to win right away. Within four or five years we will fight with the others for the Scudetto on their level.”
“The objective now is to improve upon the sixth place of last year.”
