Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has finally decided to put a price on his star trio of Edinson Cavani, Ezequiel Lavezz and Marek Hamsik.
The Three Tenors have proved their worth this term by helping Napoli kick-start their season over the last few weeks and they continue to be linked with major European clubs.
However, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis claims that the club are in no need to sell and it would, therefore, take an indecent proposal to lure the trio away from San Paolo.
“Nobody is capable of buying them,” De Laurentiis told Radio 24. “I won’t sell them. I’d only sell for an offer I couldn’t refuse, which would be double or even triple the value of the player.”
The controversial club owner explains that the superstar trio is worth approximately €200 million.
“I wouldn’t even sell Cavani for €70m. I once provoked by saying his price-tag was €100m. Lavezzi is the soul of Napoli and I wouldn’t sell him for €50m.
“Hamsik? I consider him my son and he is also worth around €50m. My books are balanced, so I am not forced to sell anyone.”
Following some unexpected struggles in January, Napoli returned to the right track thanks to the four-match winning run, with the star trip playing a big role in recent uptrend in fortunes.
Edinson Cavani remains one of the most prolific scorers in Serie A, having bagged 15 goals in 23 league games this term, whereas Marek Hamsik and Ezequiel Lavezzi are contributing with both goals and assists.
