According to a recent report from Mundo Deportivo, Juventus defender Matthijs de Ligt is believed to be considering his future at the club. Despite only being in Turin since last summer, de Ligt has failed to settle into life with the Italian champions quite as well as many would’ve imagined.
Manchester United and Barcelona are both monitoring his situation, with the pair being interested in bringing his Serie A tenure to an abrupt end.
The youngster is still widely considered by many to be one of the most exciting defenders in world football, but it’s clear to see that he has some work to do before reaching the very top.
The potential is there but with the Old Lady being unable to really capitalise on that potential, there’s a real opening for one of Europe’s other top sides to turn him into the player we all know he can be.
