Athletic Bilbao striker Oscar de Marcos says his side will not be intimidated when they take on Barcelona at home on Sunday.
The Catalan giants have not been in as menacing form this term as in previous campaigns, dropping points unexpectedly on a number of occasions, but are still considered heavy favourites for the La Liga clash.
Despite the quality that the European champions possess, 22-year-old de Marcos is hoping to pick up a win against Pep Guardiola’s men.
“We have had a very good run recently,” de Marcos told Sport.
“We know that to beat Barca is very difficult, but we will try to get the three points. We will not go for the draw, we will do our best and enjoy the game.”
“They always have a lot of possession in every game and although it will be very difficult to stop Leo Messi we will work together to try to achieve this.”
Marcelo Bielsa’s men have recovered from a slow start to the season, and are unbeaten in their last nine games in all competitions to sit in ninth place in the La Liga standings.
