De Rossi is at Gerrard’s level, says Baptista

Roma striker Julio Baptista believes team-mate Daniele De Rossi is as good as Liverpool star Steven Gerrard. “Daniele is the best without a doubt,” the Brazilian told Calcio 2000.

“I didn’t know he was that good. He is a midfielder at the highest level and one of the best in the world in his role. I think he is on the same level as Steven Gerrard.”

On the season: “However it’s very difficult [to win]. We are some distance away from winning the league title. The Champions League is our objective”.
