Roma are looking to offer Daniele De Rossi a new contract worth €27.5 million, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports.
The Italy international has one year left on his contract with the Giallorossi and the club are doing everything they can to persuade him into signing a new deal.
The 28-year-old midfielder was heavily linked with Manchester City and Real Madrid this summer, but Roma didn’t want to sell.
De Rossi has recently hinted that he would like to stay at the club, which promptly spurred the club chiefs into action.
Roma are now prepared to offer the player a new five-year deal, worth €5.5 million per campaign.
The Giallorossi are eager to wrap up the deal before January, when De Rossi will be free to talk to interested clubs.
