Roma goalkeeper Morgan De Sanctis has suggested that he could continue his career in the United States next summer.
The veteran shot-stopper will be out of contract in June and while the Giallorossi have offered him a new deal, the 37-year-old seems to be considering his options.
De Sanctis has promised to sort out his future by the end of the year, while hinting that a summer move to the MLS is a realistic possibility.
“Roma have made me a proposal and I have been reflecting on it,” De Sanctis told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“By December I will give an answer. I would like to finish in the best way, whilst I could go to the United States.”
Morgan De Sanctis has been one of Italy’s longest serving goalkeepers having debuted for Pescara back in 1994.
He has since represented Juventus, Sevilla, Galatasaray and Napoli, while spending last year and a half at AS Roma.
Since joining the Giallorossi in a cut-price deal from Napoli, De Sanctis has put in some thoroughly impressive performances for Rudi Garcia’s side, so no wonder the club officials are hoping to persuade him to stay on for another year or two.
