AC Milan full-back Mattia De Sciglio has made it clear that he is not looking to leave the Rossoneri amidst rumours linking him with a switch to Real Madrid.
It is no secret that los Blancos boss Carlo Ancelotti is a big admirer of the talented defender, and he is hoping to lure him to Santiago Bernabeu in the near future.
But, while the Rossoneri are unlikely to cash in on one of their star players, De Sciglio himself doesn’t seem ready to leave his current employers any time soon.
“If the rumours are true, why not, but I have other plans for the future,” the 22-year-old confessed to Corriere della Sera.
“Take the example of those players who have worn the shirt. It would also be an honour for me to become the captain of Milan one day.”
Mattia De Sciglio came through the youth ranks at San Siro and has so far made 52 Serie A appearances for the club.
He is widely regarded as one of Italy’s most talented defenders and currently has 15 Azzurri caps to his name.
De Sciglio is essentially a right-back, but he has mostly been used on the left hand side at AC Milan.
