De Silvestri will not join Viola

Lazio president Claudio Lotitio has ruled out selling full-back Lorenzo De Silvestri to rivals Fiorentina.

De Silvestri has been frozen out of the Lazio squad due to a contract dispute.

Italian newspapers reports that Fiorentina have made a £4million bid to sign De Silvestri, but Lazio wants at least £6.5million for the Italy Under-21 internaitonal.

“De Silvestri to Fiorentina? That’s complete rubbish,” snapped President Claudio Lotito on violanews.com.

“There is no truth in it. I don’t know if [Viola director of sport Pantaleo] Corvino was in Rome, but he certainly did not meet with me, as I am not in the capital at the moment.”
