The Metro understands that Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea has rubbished speculation that he is set to move to Real Madrid, insisting that he is happy with life at Old Trafford.
The 24 year old had been linked with a return to the Spanish capital having played eighty-four times for Atletico Madrid prior to his switch to England.
Real are on the lookout for a long term replacement for Iker Casillas and had identified De Gea as their top target, but may now have to look elsewhere.
His contract with United has eighteen months remaining, though he is yet to put pen to paper on a new deal.
Dea Gea and Casillas are both battling with Espanyol’s Kiko Cassila for a starting berth in Spain’s friendly against World Champions Germany, which takes place in Vigo this evening.
Vicente Del Bosque’s men can be backed at 6/5 to win the match.
