Thirty-nine year old Hull City forward Dean Windass could have played his last match for the club.

After having played only six matches, of which four were from the substitute’s bench this season, he was told by his assistant manager Brian Horton that he was free to leave the club on loan.

At this stage League One’s Hartlepool United have come forward and expressed an interest in him.

It is widely known that there has been tension between Windass and his manager Phil Brown.
