Seattle Sounders general manager Adrian Hanauer has suggested that full-back DeAndre Yedlin will be joining Tottenham Hotspur in the winter transfer window.
Spurs purchased the talented defender in the summer, but immediately loaned him back to the MLS side.
The date of the player’s return to White Hart Lane was not disclosed, but it appears that Yedlin will be moving to England earlier than expected.
Seattle Sounders chief Adrian Hanauer has all but confirmed that the 21-year-old is set to be given a work permit in the coming weeks.
“He (DeAndre Yedlin) is anticipated to be heading over to Tottenham the middle to end of December,” Hanauer was quoted as saying on the Seattle Sounders’ Twitter account.
The Premier League side seem to have decided to speed up the move due to their defensive crisis, with Kyle Walker still sidelined through injury.
Having slipped to tenth in the Premier League standings after the 3-0 loss at Stamford Bridge, Spurs can be backed at 3/5 to see off Crystal Palace at White Hart Lane.
