December 19th: Tuesday’s Daily Double – 4/1 Special, Tips & Predictions

With the EFL Cup making its return on Tuesday night, we have a string of eye-catching affairs from up and down the country.

Ahead of a stacked English schedule, we have found a pair of intriguing betting markets that can potentially offer a great return for your Tuesday flutter.

19:45 Everton vs Fulham

While Everton might have found themselves at the heart of a major scandal last month as they were hit with an infamous 10-point deduction, the Blues are enjoying a remarkable purple patch. Continuing on a stunning flurry and skyrocketing away from a looming relegation scrap, the mood in Sean Dyche’s camp appears to be at a red-hot high.

Laying down another marker over the weekend as they claimed a deserved 2-0 victory away at Burnley, Tuesday’s hosts are certainly riding a famous wave of momentum.

In fact, on a run that is highlighted by a 3-0 romp against Newcastle on December 7th, Everton have won all of their previous four Premier League appearances by an aggregate score of 8-0.

Likewise, it is also worth highlighting, Dyche’s high-flying squad have suffered just a single defeat in any of their last nine showdowns across all competitions – a run that stems all the way back to October 21st.

Looking to punch their EFL Cup semi-final ticket in midweek, the Toffees will be confident of cashing in on a Fulham side that have continued to show some glaring issues away from Craven Cottage.

While Marco Silva’s men might have gained a reputation for their success in west London, Tuesday’s guests have lost each of their previous three showdowns on the road by an aggregate score of 10-4.

Last seen over the weekend putting in a flat display as they suffered a 3-0 drumming at the hands of Newcastle at St. James’ Park, the former Everton boss will be bracing himself for a tough return to Merseyside.

With just a single away win to their name since August 12th, we are backing a home victory in midweek.

19:45 Blackpool vs Forest Green

Coming under plenty of scrutiny last season as they lost their Championship status, it is no secret that Blackpool have their sights set on securing an immediate second-tier return in the New Year. However, suffering a real collapse away at Cambridge over the weekend as they eventually slumped to a 2-1 loss, Neil Critchley’s side will be seeking a welcomed response on Tuesday night.

Smelling a golden chance to extend on their FA Cup adventure in midweek, the Seasiders will be excited by their continued success on home soil.

Last seen at Bloomfield Road storming their way to a routine 3-0 romp against Carlisle, the one-time Liverpool coach has seen his squad win seven of their previous nine showdowns in front of their own supporters – a run that stems back to October 3rd.

Rightfully tipped as a standout contender here, Blackpool will certainly be calling on attacking talisman Jordan Rhodes to spearhead their charge in midweek.

Bagging what turned out to be a consolation strike against Cambridge over the weekend, the former Sheffield Wednesday striker has notched a stunning 14 goals in his first 18 League One appearances this season.

On the flip side, at the heart of yet another relegation scrap and facing an uphill battle to keep hold of their Football League status, Forest Green are dealing with a string of public issues.

Last seen over the weekend getting hit with a 2-0 loss at the hands of MK Dons, the Rovers have recorded just a single win from any of their previous eight appearances across all competitions.

Likewise, with just a single clean sheet to their name since the middle of October, Forest Green should be bracing themselves for a stern FA Cup challenge on Tuesday night.
