December 26th: Boxing Day Premier League Accumulator – 5/1

With a stacked Boxing Day schedule on the cards, we are treated to a host of heavyweight affairs from both ends of the Premier League table.

Watching the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool and Newcastle all steal centre stage throughout Tuesday, there are plenty of eye-catching betting markets that are available.

So, for those of you looking to stick on a Boxing Day acca, we have found a trio of Premier League betting tips that are worth taking note of.

Tuesday, December 26th

BST 12:30 Newcastle vs Nottingham Forest

Although Newcastle might have only continued on a real fairytale story since they welcomed Eddie Howe to St. James’ Park two years ago, it is no secret that the Magpies are enduring a recent struggle. Suffering Champions League heartbreak earlier in the month as they missed out on the chance to book any kind of European adventure for the New Year, Tuesday’s hosts have remarkably lost six of their previous seven appearances across all competitions. Facing what appears to be a major uphill battle in their bid to book another famous top-four finish, the former Bournemouth boss will be excited to make a return to home soil here. Despite showing some extended issues away from St. James’ Park, Newcastle have not suffered a single Premier League defeat in front of their own supporters since the end of August. However, with Nottingham Forest enduring what has quickly become a major top-flight nightmare, Howe’s side should be smelling a golden opportunity on Boxing Day. Getting Nuno Espirito Santo’s tenure underway with a last-gasp 3-2 loss at home against Bournemouth over the weekend, Tuesday’s guests are now at the heart of a real relegation scrap. Remarkably mustering just a single point from any of their last seven Premier League appearances, the one-time Tottenham boss has a major job on his hands at the City Ground. Likewise, it should also be noted, Forest have collected just a sole top-flight win on their travels throughout the whole of 2023.

Tip: Newcastle win @ 8/15

17:30 Burnley vs Liverpool

While Liverpool might have been left hugely frustrated last season as they missed out on the chance to claim a top-four finish, Jurgen Klopp’s men have come roaring back this time around. Despite eventually being forced to settle for a 1-1 stalemate against Arsenal over the weekend, Tuesday’s guests have their sights firmly set on mounting a title charge in the New Year. Breezing their way to the Europa League knockout stage earlier in the month and tipped as a leading European contender, the former Borussia Dortmund boss should find the mood in his camp at a real high. Opening Boxing Day sat just a single point adrift of climbing to the top of the Premier League table, Liverpool will certainly be excited by the prospect of a trip to Turf Moor here. Suffering just a single domestic defeat away from Anfield so far this season and with attacking talisman Mohamed Salah enjoying another stellar domestic romp, Burnley will be bracing themselves for a heavyweight challenge in midweek. While Burnley might have snatched a shock 2-0 win away at Fulham over the weekend, Vincent Kompany’s side still find themselves sat in the drop zone. Tipped as a leading contender to be hit with an immediate Championship return, the former Manchester City skipper will have a mounting headache over his side’s extended struggles on home soil. In fact, the Boxing Day hosts have lost eight of their first nine home fixtures across all competitions so far this season.

Tip: Mohamed Salah to score anytime @ 21/20

20:00 Manchester United vs Aston Villa

Although Aston Villa might have been disappointed over the weekend as they eventually had to settle for a 1-1 stalemate at home against Sheffield United, Unai Emery’s men are enjoying a stunning purple patch. Continuing to break a string of records this season, the former Arsenal boss finds his side remarkably sat just a single point adrift of climbing to the top of the table. Riding what has been an iconic wave of momentum and receiving a string of plaudits from across Europe, Tuesday’s guests will certainly be looking to make another heavyweight statement on Boxing Day. Sat in the driving seat to clinch a famous Champions League ticket in the New Year, Aston Villa will be relishing a trip to Old Trafford here. Losing just one of their last 17 straight appearances across all formats, Emery’s men will be looking to cash in on a Manchester United squad who are at the heart of a public crisis. Slumping to a 2-0 loss against West Ham over the weekend, Erik ten Hag has a huge amount of pressure on his shoulders. Crashing out of the Champions League earlier in the month and breaking a string of unwanted records, the ex-Ajax boss has also seen his squad win just one of their last seven appearances across all fronts. Likewise, showing some glaring issues in the final third and without a single goal to their name in any of their previous four showdowns, it should also be highlighted that ten Hag’s side have lost back-to-back contests at Old Trafford by an aggregate score of 4-0.

Tip: Aston Villa draw no bet @ 1/1
