It is apparent that 30 year old Portuguese midfielder Deco will be new Chelsea boss Luiz Scolari’s first signing.
The Sun reports that an initial agreement has been reached between Chelsea and Barcalonea with a transfer fee of around £12 million. It was also reported that a source close to the deal said: “It’s just a matter of time to conclude the affair and it should be before the end of this week.â€Â
The player who was instrumental in Barcelona’s 2006 double, had been deemed as surplus by new coach Pep Guardiola along with fellow teammates, Samuel Eto and Ronaldinho and a summer move away from the Camp Nou seemed inevitable.
