Tottenham Hotspur striker Jermaine Defoe has insisted that he is happy at White Hart Lane amid rumours that he is set to move on, Sky Sports understands.
The England international has been used sparingly by manager Andre Villas-Boas this season, with the majority of his game time coming in the cup competitions.
He has started just one Premier League match this season, but has scored twice in two League Cup games and has seven in five in the Europa League.
Former Spurs teammate Ryan Nelson has said that he would love to take him to Toronto FC in the MLS – the team he now manages, while a return to former club West Ham United has also been mooted with them in need of a striker, and Defoe recently declaring his love for the Hammers.
However, despite being frustrated at his lack of league football, he has stressed that he has never expressed a desire to leave.
