(GSM) – Tottenham Hotspur striker Jermain Defoe has returned to full training with the North London club after a long injury lay-off.
The England international, who sustained a ligament damage while on international duty, underwent an ankle operation in September.
Despite being expected to be sidelined for three months, the 28-year-old has been making good progress in his recovery.
Defoe had recently revealed that wanted to make a possible return to action against North London rivals Arsenal this Saturday.
And it seems he has now handed manager Harry Redknapp a much-needed boost by completing a session at Spurs’ training ground for players who were not involved with their countries this week.
It remains to be seen when Redknapp will decide to call on Defoe again but the manager will be delighted see him regaining fitness.
