Belgian midfielder Steven Defour has dropped a fresh hint that he plans to leave FC Porto in the January transfer window.
The 25-year-old has been struggling for playing time this season and he had already suggested he could quit the Dragons in search of first team football.
And having spent the last two matches on the substitutes’ bench, Defour admits he is considering his options.
“The fact I am not playing is still not a problem, but it could be in the future,” the Belgian told reporters as he was departing for Dubai, where he will be spending his Christmas holidays.
“I have to analyse the situation and talk to people responsible for making decisions.”
Defour is keen to keep his place in the national team ahead of the 2014 World Cup, and that seems to be the main reason why he wants to leave his current employers.
Belgian giants Anderlecht recently expressed their interest in signing the highly rated midfielder and a return to Jupiler Pro League could be a good career move for Defour as that would all but guarantee him regular playing time.
