Wolfsburg attacking midfielder Ashkan Dejagah has signed a new three year deal that will keep him at the Bundesliga club till June 2013. Dejagah made 23 appearances for Wolfsburg last season in the Bundesliga and said that he was hoping for a better 10/11 season under new boss Steve McClaren.
Dejagah, who turned 24 recently, joined the Wolves from Hertha Berlin in 2007. He has been capped by Germany at U-17, U-19 and U-21 levels. Dejagah was also part of the German squad that won the UEFA U-21 European championships last year.
Wolfsburg failed to defend their Bundesliga title last season and finished a disappointing 8th in the league.
