Del Bosque: We were missing that extra touch

Spain boss Vicente del Bosque has admitted they were missing that extra touch that would see them score more goals.

Valencia striker David Villa scored the only goals for Spain as they won 1-0 against Bosnia-Herzegovina on Saturday.

“We were missing that extra touch to make a real difference to the scoreboard,” Del Bosque told the press.

“The first half was very difficult for us and we needed to show more maturity, but in the second half things opened up and we found space and were able to use our speed.

“We could have then scored more goals, but in the final third we were just lacking that slice of luck you need.

“The opposition were strong and we will learn lessons from this.”

Spain face Armenia at home on Wednesday for their second World Cup qualifying match.
