(GSM) – Juventus coach Luigi Del Neri has backed Brazil duo Diego and Felipe Melo to succeed at the club amid speculation that they might yet be sold.
Both midfielders had a disappointing first season at Juve, but Del Neri is ready to give them a second chance to prove their worth.
“Melo had a good World Cup, but it was tarnished with the sending-off against the Netherlands,” the former Sampdoria coach told Tuttosport.
“We will try to give him the faith as we are relying on him. I expect plenty from him.”
Diego has also been linked with a move away from the Bianconeri, but Del Neri said there was no significant action regarding his reported exit.
“He is a great player with a great temperament. He has to change pace though, but he has a great chance, just like everyone else,” he said.
