Del Piero is the future of Juventus, claims Cobolli

Juventus president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli believes that his club’s success is still, and will always be, tied to Alessandro Del Piero, be it as a captain and player of the team, or as an influential figure behind the desk once he retires from the playing side.

“Ranieri has built what he must build, constructing the squad on our captain,” explained the Old Lady’s president to La Repubblica. “The club will have to leave as a legacy to the fans of this generation and also of the following one, a winning team both in Italy and in Europe.”
