Alessandro Del Piero is playing his final season for Juventus, according to club president Andrea Agnelli.
The club legend has one year left on his deal with the Bianconeri and it has now been revealed that he doesn’t plan to extend it.
“Our captain Alessandro Del Piero really wanted to stay with us for what will be his final year in Bianconero,” Juventus president Andrea Agnelli said at a shareholders meeting.
“Let’s dedicate a massive round of applause to him.”
It is not yet clear whether the 36-year-old will retire at the end of the season or maybe join a foreign club, but the first option certainly looks more likely.
Del Piero recently stated that he wouldn’t play for any other Italian club if he left Juventus.
