(GSM) – Fiorentina president Andrea Della Valle is confident coach Cesare Prandelli will remain at the club after this season.
Prandelli has been linked with a move to the national team but Della Valle denied Prandelli had been offered the Italy job.
“Prandelli for the Nazionale? The Federation has not asked us anything and I haven’t received any call from President Giancarlo Abete,” said the Viola patron.
The rapport between Prandelli and the club owners has been fractious of late, particularly with Diego Della Valle.
The 1-1 draw with Siena yesterday confirmed Fiorentina’s poor form, as they are out of Europe altogether next term.
“It is very easy to write certain things now because the team is no longer motivated and has no more targets for this season,” continued Andrea Della Valle.
“In any case, our director Pantaleo Corvino has been more than clear on Prandelli’s situation.
“As for me and my family, we will not disappoint the fans.”
