Daily Mirror understands that Newcastle striker Demba Ba is likely to leave the club in January after his wage demands were rejected by the club officials.
The Senegalese striker has enjoyed a brilliant start to the season, scoring 6 goals in as many Premier League appearances and he has demanded a new and improved contract to suit his new status at the club.
Daily Mirror claims that Ba requested a new deal worth £60,000 per week, but it appears the club chiefs are not willing to meet his demands.
As a result, the Senegal international is expected to leave St James Park in the January transfer window.
There is unlikely to be a shortage of suitors given the forward’s impressive start to his career at Newcastle, while the Magpies will get an opportunity to earn a substantial profit on the player who joined the club on a free transfer from West Ham.
