Chelsea striker Demba Ba has expressed his desire to leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.
The Senegalese forward has seen little playing time this season, seeing as how he is currently behind Samuel Eto’o and Fernando Torres in the pecking order.
And after he was denied a chance to leave the Blues in the winter transfer window, it looks as though the club will not stand in his way this time out.
Demba Ba has moved to suggest that his representative is trying to arrange a summer exit in agreement with the club.
“My agent has spoken to the club about a departure and he has started speaking with other clubs about a contract for next season,” Ba told French radio station Radio Monte Carlo.
“I hope we can find the best option possible. I’d like to stay in England. I like other leagues, too. I’d like to try the Italian league.
“Nothing’s been confirmed but there are a few teams in Italy who play very good football.”
Demba Ba, 28, joined Chelsea on the back of a very successful spell with Newcastle, but he has managed just 5 goals in 28 Premier League outings for the Blues.
The Stamford Bridge outfit currently lead the chase in English Premier League, and they are available at 5/2 to win outright.
