Moussa Dembele will not discuss a new contract at Tottenham Hotspur until after the World Cup finals, according to the Telegraph.
The Belgium international midfielder’s form has seen him draw attention from a number of clubs this season and he will enter the final months of his current deal come the summer.
He is yet to open talks with the North London club regarding an extension and is now unlikely to with his focus on finishing the season strongly ahead of this summer’s tournament in Russia.
Dembele moved to Spurs from fellow London side Fulham in the summer of 2012 and has since racked up two hundred and twenty-five appearances for the club, scoring ten goals.
Internationally the thirty year old has been capped seventy times for his country, scoring five goals with his latest appearance coming as a substitute in Tuesday evening’s 4-0 friendly victory over Saudi Arabia.
