Dempsey rejoins Fulham on loan

Fulham have completed the loan signing of club favourite Clint Dempsey on a two month loan deal from Seattle Sounders, Sky Sports understands.

The 30 year old spent five and a half seasons at Craven Cottage before moving to Tottenham Hotspur in 2012, while he returned to the MLS after just one season at White Hart Lane.

He was twice named Fulham’s Player of the Year during his first spell with the club, and with fifty leauge goals is the highest scoring American to have played in the English top flight.

He has made twelve appearances for Seattle, scoring just the one goal, and will be keen to improve on his form as he prepares to be part of Jurgen Klinsmann’s squad for next summer’s World Cup finals next summer.

Rene Meulensteen’s side are currently second from bottom of the Premier League, a point behind seventeenth place West Ham United.
