Catalan daily newspaper Sport has suggested that Barcelona could make a move on former player Denis Suarez.
The Catalans are short of options in the final third after Pedro Rodriguez left and Rafinha Alcantara suffered a difficult injury, and they aim to address the issue in the winter transfer window.
The latest reports suggest that Barcelona are exploring the possibility of resigning attacking midfielder Denis Suarez.
The 21-year-old was sold to Villarreal earlier this summer, but the Catalans have the option to buy the player back for mere €3 million.
Barcelona officials hope that Suarez will gain some much needed first team experience at El Madrigal before he returns to Camp Nou, either in the winter or at the end of the season.
The talented footballer, who joined the club from Manchester City two years ago, enjoyed a successful loan spell with Sevilla last season, but has only made one substitute appearance for Villarreal so far.
